Midnight Club

About this Project

Midnight Club is a centre-based open-access provision delivered by Ledley Hall Boys and Girls Club every Friday, creating a safe, welcoming and engaging space for young people to spend their evening positively. Designed to offer an alternative to unsupervised time outdoors, the project brings young people together in a trusted environment where they can relax, connect and enjoy being part of a supportive community.

The club gives young people the chance to socialise with friends, meet new people and take part in enjoyable activities that encourage confidence, self-expression and inclusion. With a flexible open-access format, participants can choose how they engage, whether that is through games, conversation, creative activities or simply spending time in a calm and friendly setting.

A key part of Midnight Club is helping young people to develop healthy relationships with peers and trusted adults. Staff provide positive role modelling, encouragement and guidance, ensuring the atmosphere remains respectful, supportive and safe for everyone who attends. This helps young people feel valued and accepted, while also building the social skills and confidence they need in everyday life.

The project also supports emotional wellbeing by offering a consistent and predictable space at the end of the week. For many young people, Friday evenings can be a challenging time, and Midnight Club provides structure, belonging and a constructive outlet. By promoting positive choices and meaningful engagement, the club helps reduce isolation and encourages a sense of stability.

Midnight Club is rooted in inclusion and accessibility, welcoming young people from different backgrounds and experiences. The provision is designed to be responsive to the needs of attendees, offering a relaxed environment where they can unwind, have fun and feel part of something positive. This makes it an important weekly opportunity for young people to build friendships, confidence and trust within their community.
